Fresh U.S. and British airstrikes reportedly targeted Yemen’s Hudaydah province on Monday, according to the Houthi-run Al-Masirah television network. The strikes hit the At-Tuhayta district in western Yemen.
Al-Masirah provided limited information, offering no details about casualties or the extent of material damage. There has been no immediate confirmation or comment from either the U.S. or British governments regarding the reported attacks.
Hudaydah is strategically significant, housing an international airport, three major ports, and an extensive coastal strip. The province has been a focal point for U.S. and British airstrikes, with its ports playing a critical role in Yemen’s economy and access to the Red Sea.
These strikes come after a reported pause in U.S. and British operations against Houthi targets since November 28.
The coalition has targeted Houthi-controlled areas in response to the group’s attacks on U.S. forces, international commercial shipping and merchant personnel and vessels in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
Further details on the strikes and their impact are awaited as the situation develops.
