Significant Defense Contracts Awarded to Industries of the Blind, Sheaumann Laser, and Pacific Defense Strategies

Industries of the Blind Inc., Sheaumann Laser Inc., and Pacific Defense Strategies Inc. have each secured significant contracts for various services related to defense.

Industries of the Blind Inc., Sheaumann Laser Inc., and Pacific Defense Strategies Inc. have each secured significant contracts for various services related to defense. Industries of the Blind Inc. has been awarded a contract for storage and distribution services worth up to $31.2 million, Sheaumann Laser Inc. secured a contract worth up to $10 million for the supply of Illuminate devices, and Pacific Defense Strategies Inc. was awarded a $7.7 million contract to develop an automated information routing radio frequency communication system.
  

Key Points: 

  1. Industries of the Blind Inc., based in Greensboro, North Carolina, received a contract for a range of services, including warehousing, storage, logistics, sewing and embroidery, and distribution functions. The contract, with a maximum value of $31.2 million, is valid until July 2025 and will be funded by defense working capital funds for fiscal years 2023 through 2025.
  2. Sheaumann Laser Inc. in Billerica, Massachusetts, was awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a maximum ceiling of $10 million and a minimum ordering guarantee of $1.325 million. The contract pertains to the acquisition of Illuminate devices, parts, and accessories in support of the U.S. Special Operations Command. The contract will run from July 2023 to July 2028.
  3. Pacific Defense Strategies Inc., located in El Segundo, California, secured a $7.7 million contract to develop the Trifecta software and hardware system. This project focuses on creating an automated information routing radio frequency communication system that is spectrally agnostic. The project is due for completion by July 2025.
