Russian special forces engaged and neutralized two suspects accused of plotting terrorist activities in the Kabardino-Balkaria Republic, a region situated in Russia’s volatile North Caucasus. The operation occurred on the outskirts of Nalchik, the republic’s capital, as announced by the National Antiterror Committee.
The confrontation began when the suspects, barricaded by the Federal Security Service special forces, initiated gunfire.
