Free Certification Programs for Transitioning Veterans in 2024

Kenneth Ledbetter, marketing outreach coordinator of the United States Military Apprenticeship Program, discusses certification programs with a sailor during the annual education fair at Naval Air Station North Island. The educational fair hosted more than 75 colleges and universities and provided sailors an opportunity to learn about various degree programs offered by each school and certifications that can be earned through USMAP and Navy COOL.

Transitioning veterans in 2024 can access a variety of free industry certifications, essential for adapting to civilian careers. Programs like Military COOL and the United Services Military Apprenticeship Program (USMAP) offer tailored certifications and apprenticeships. Institutions such as the American College of Financial Services and Purdue University Northwest provide specialized training in fields like wealth management and cybersecurity.
