Ukrainian soldiers on the Kharkiv front used a ground robotic vehicle to evacuate a cat from the frontline.
The “Khartia” Brigade said troops transported the cat, nicknamed “Prapor” (Flag), after he had lived with soldiers for months.
“He became a true comrade to the soldiers, received the call sign ‘Prapor,’ and, as the servicemen say, is fully worthy of the status of a combat participant,” the unit said in a statement.
The robotic vehicle first delivered ammunition and equipment to forward positions, then returned carrying Prapor in a transport carrier.
“The evacuation mission lasted for three hours. Prapor was delivered to the final point safe and unharmed. He is now at the company’s base and gradually adapting to a new stage of his life,” the brigade said.
Ukrainian ground robots have previously been used to deliver supplies, evacuate casualties, clear mines, and conduct reconnaissance.
