The exact location of the footage was not disclosed but reports said it is likely filmed in Donetsk Oblast where Russian ground assaults are most intense. Reports suggest the tactic helps maintain communications in drone-heavy areas where vehicles are restricted.
Russian forces in the region have long relied on horses and donkeys to transport food and ammunition to frontline positions amid shortage of combat vehicles.

Earlier reports also noted that Russian troops have been using civilian vehicles and tractors to support their operations across Ukraine.
Out of tanks? No problem! The russian army is switching to alternative vehicles: stolen tractors, combat-ready harvesters, and DIY armored cars.
Now, instead of BMPs, they have “BTR-Belarus Traktor”, and instead of T-90s, it’s “Traktor-150s” pic.twitter.com/i3clt0AHua
