Ukraine’s Air Force is operating the U.S.-made Tempest, a high-mobility air defense vehicle armed with AGM-114 Hellfire missiles to counter Russian drones.
Footage from the Air Force Command Center shows two Hellfires being launched at drone-like targets.

The system was developed by Virginia-based V2X and unveiled at the 2025 AUSA exhibition in October. The Tempest combines a twin Longbow launcher with a radar mounted on a highly mobile, modular, lightweight 4×4 chassis. According to V2X, it is designed to engage short- and medium-range drones in all weather conditions.
Its transfer to Ukraine has not been officially confirmed by either Kyiv or Washington.
According to Defence Express, the Tempest’s presence in Ukraine could reflect either a rapid deployment or a limited prototype undergoing operational testing.
