A Russian vessel near the western coast of the Kherson region was struck by a precision-guided munition launched from Ukraine’s Bayraktar TB2 drone, Ukrainian officials said.
Footage shared by Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense on X on Tuesday showed explosions aboard the ship. The Ukrainian Navy identified the target as a landing craft belonging to the Black Sea fleet.

Russia has yet to confirm the incident.
This marks the first publicly documented use of the Turkish-made Bayraktar TB2 in several months. Once a prominent asset in Ukraine’s early defense efforts, the drone’s visibility on the battlefield had declined amid increased Russian electronic warfare and air defense capabilities.
According to its manufacturer, Baykar, the TB2 is a Medium Altitude Long Endurance tactical unmanned combat aerial vehicle, designed for both intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions, as well as precision strikes using munitions such as the MAM-L.
As of June 25, Ukraine said it has destroyed a total of 28 Russian warships and boats, along with one submarine, since Russia launched its full-scale invasion in February 2022.
