Since the start of the counteroffensive in June 2023, Ukrainian forces, particularly the 47th Mechanized Brigade, have relied on Bradleys in intense combat, despite heavy losses of other equipment. The U.S. has already provided over 300 Bradleys, and the new package, valued at $250 million, includes more armored vehicles and other vital weaponry.
The 47th Brigade, which has seen some of the hardest fighting, continues to operate with Bradleys as their primary vehicle, using the IFVs’ agility and firepower to counter Russian advances. With the latest delivery of Bradleys, the brigade hopes to reinforce its efforts as Russian forces continue pressing on key fronts. The U.S. aid package also includes air defense systems, artillery, and other military support to help Ukraine sustain its defenses and maintain momentum in the ongoing conflict.
