A video posted by Ukrainian analyst Serhii “Flash” Beskrestnov shows a member of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s security team carrying what appears to be a Yolka drone interceptor during Moscow’s Victory Day parade on May 9.
The clip, also analyzed by Russian outlet Agentstvo, shows Putin greeting senior officers on Red Square alongside Defense Minister Andrei Belousov and parade commander Oleg Salyukov. In the foreground, a suited guard with an ID badge is seen holding a bag partially exposing a cruciform object with propellers, matching known features of the Yolka system.
⚡ Putin’s security now carries drone interceptors
The bunker leader’s bodyguards are now forced to haul not only dozens of kilos of body armor hidden under bulky jackets, but also FPV drone interceptors — just in case a “little bird” flies too close.

The Yolka is a compact kinetic drone launched from a reusable catapult. It autonomously tracks and collides with enemy drones, destroying both in the process. While detailed specifications remain limited, Russian state media Rossiyskaya Gazeta describes it as lightweight and quick to deploy.
Security around the parade was tight. Mobile internet was restricted across Moscow, anti-drone rifles were visible among troops, and a canopy was erected over the saluting platform, reportedly a first. Victory Day events in Crimea, Belgorod, Kursk, and Bryansk were cancelled, reflecting growing concerns about Ukrainian drone strikes.
Though not confirmed by Russian officials, the presence of a likely interceptor drone so close to Putin suggests Russia is integrating mobile counter-drone systems directly into its presidential security operations.
