In the face of limited resources, a small drone unit near Kherson, Ukraine, exemplifies ingenuity in warfare by employing basic drones equipped with explosives to strike Russian targets. This four-man team of the 11th National Guard Samosud Squad operates from a simple cottage, using commercially available drones, to which they zip-tie old grenades and mortars. They pilot these drones using virtual reality headsets, allowing precise control and first-person view for targeted strikes. This low-cost, high-impact strategy demonstrates a remarkable adaptation to resource constraints, leveraging available technology to conduct effective aerial attacks across the Dnipro River, underscoring the evolving nature of modern combat tactics.
