Deportation Threat Looms for Afghan Special Forces Supported by UK

Afghan veterans have exposed distressing statistics indicating that approximately 200 Afghan special forces soldiers, who received training and support from the UK, are currently facing potential deportation to Taliban-controlled Afghanistan after seeking refuge in Pakistan. Gen Sir Richard Barrons, a former UK general with extensive experience in Afghanistan, has strongly criticized the UK’s failure to safeguard these soldiers, describing it as a “betrayal” and “disgrace.” These revelations have triggered an Urgent Question in the House of Commons, raising concerns about the UK’s commitment to its obligations and moral responsibilities.
