The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted a series of military operations on Friday, targeting Hamas terrorists in Gaza and Hezbollah fighters in southern Lebanon.
In Gaza, the IDF reported eliminating dozens of Hamas terrorists and destroying significant terrorist infrastructure across central and southern regions. These operations included close-quarters combat, where IDF troops neutralized several terrorists. The Israeli Air Force (IAF) also carried out approximately 30 airstrikes against military structures, weapons storage facilities, and launch sites, particularly in Khan Yunis.
On Israel’s northern front, Hezbollah launched missiles that struck an Air Control Unit base near Mount Meron. While the base sustained a direct hit, the IDF reported that its functional capacity and detection systems remained operational, and there were no casualties. The IDF responded by targeting Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon, killing at least six Hezbollah fighters, according to reports from Lebanese sources and Reuters.
The strikes in Lebanon included Israeli airstrikes on the towns of Mays al-Jabal and Tayr Harfa, which resulted in the deaths of four Hezbollah fighters. Another strike in Aita reportedly killed Hezbollah member Muhammad Mahmoud Najam, who was identified as part of the group’s rocket and missile unit.
