A high-ranking commander in Hezbollah’s al-Hajj Radwan Force, Hussein Ibrahim Kassab, was killed in a drone strike in southern Lebanon on Saturday. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the strike and released footage showing the moment Kassab was targeted while riding his motorcycle through the city of Tyre. Kassab’s death marks the 412th Hezbollah operative killed since October 7, when the current conflict between Israel and Hamas, alongside Hezbollah, escalated.

The strike was part of a broader Israeli operation in southern Lebanon, which also targeted a Hezbollah weapons storage facility in Nabatieh. The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that the airstrike in Nabatieh resulted in at least 10 casualties, including a woman and her two children, while five others were wounded, two critically. Hezbollah responded to the strikes by launching 55 rockets at northern Israel, although the IDF reported no casualties as most rockets landed in open areas.
