The German Bundeswehr has placed its largest-ever order for military helicopters, with up to 82 Airbus Helicopters H145Ms. This comprehensive contract includes 62 firm orders and 20 options, along with seven years of support, spare parts, simulators, and training. The H145Ms will serve in a light attack helicopter role and replace the German Army’s Tiger fleet. Of the total order, 57 helicopters will go to the German Army, while the Luftwaffe’s special forces will receive the rest. This procurement is funded through a €100 billion special fund dedicated to military modernization and will be delivered between 2024 and 2028.
