This area’s prominence in UFO sightings aligns with a growing mainstream interest in unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs), spurred by demands for transparency from lawmakers and heightened concerns over national security implications.Â
Despite Nevada’s dominance in UFO reports, other regions across the United States, including Arthur County, Nebraska, and Alpine County, California, also report high numbers of sightings. Even the Eastern U.S. has its hotspots, such as Hamilton County in New York and Dare County in North Carolina, which benefit from dark skies far from light pollution. The increased reporting by commercial and military pilots marks a significant cultural shift from the past, where such disclosures were often met with ostracism.
