A building used by U.S. aerospace and defense giant Boeing in Kyiv, suffered significant damage during a major Russian airstrike last week, the Financial Times reported on Sunday.
The report, based on six sources including Boeing employees, Ukrainian officials, and the head of the American Chamber of Commerce (ACC) in Ukraine, said the strike appeared to deliberately target the U.S. aerospace company.
The building was reportedly damaged during Russian strikes overnight on June 9–10, when Russia launched 315 drones and seven missiles targeting Kyiv, Odesa, and other cities. Ukraine’s Air Force confirmed the scale of the attack, calling it one of the largest since the full-scale war began.
Videos circulating on social media showed damage to the Boeing site, though the footage has not been independently verified.

A company spokesperson told the FT that no employees were hurt in the strikes. Boeing employs around 1,000 people in Ukraine, primarily in engineering and technical roles.
Despite the damage to the building, Boeing’s local deputy director, Andriy Koryagin, told the news outlet there has been “no operational disruption.”
“This is not just an attack against Ukraine, but also an attack where American business is being hit,” Andy Hunder, head of the ACC in Ukraine, told the Kyiv Independent. “This is a war against a world where American businesses are making money and thriving.”
Russia has previously targeted other Western companies in Ukraine. Early in the war, a Coca-Cola plant in Kyiv was occupied and destroyed.
According to Hunder, since 2022, 32 percent of the ACC’s nearly 700 member firms in Ukraine have reported damage to their facilities due to Russian attacks, though 90% continue to operate in the country.
