At Melrose Air Force Range in New Mexico, EOD technicians from the 27th Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron and SERE specialists from the 27th Special Operations Support Squadron joined forces for a multi-day training exercise on January 23-24, 2024. The training, specifically designed for junior Airmen in the 27th Special Operations Wing (SOW), aimed to foster joint interoperability and enhance fieldcraft skills across the SERE and EOD flights, reinforcing their roles as crucial enablers throughout the spectrum of military operations.
This collaborative effort underscores the commitment to readiness and professional development within the Air Commando community. By sharing expertise and honing critical survival and ordnance disposal skills, the exercise not only strengthened the individual capabilities of the participants but also contributed to the overall operational effectiveness of the 27th SOW.
