As shown in the video, initially shared by the official Telegram channel of Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, a Ukrainian unit uses a drone to track a Russian soldier’s approach before one of the fighters emerges from cover and opens fire at near point-blank range.
Shortly after, the same drone spotted two more Russian soldiers patrolling nearby. Ukrainian fighters set up a second ambush and killed both.
The Ukrainian troops involved belong to the Donetsk Police Rifle Battalion, a unit of the National Police of Ukraine. These units often operate on the front lines alongside the military.
Both Russia and Ukraine have said they are open to a ceasefire, but they remain divided on the terms. U.S. President Donald Trump, who is involved in the negotiations, recently said his team would leave the talks if there was no progress.
