U.S. Navy SEALs and Special Warfare Combat Crewmen (SWCC) recently completed a two-week joint training exercise with Lithuanian and German special operations forces, aimed at enhancing warfighting readiness and allied cooperation in the Baltic region.

The drills focused on maritime operations, small boat tactics, and low-light live-fire training, with an emphasis on strengthening NATO partnerships. The training took place near Klaipeda, a key Lithuanian port city located approximately 50 miles from the Russian military exclave of Kaliningrad.

“Exercises like this are crucial to ensuring we can operate seamlessly together to fight and win wars,” said Capt. V. Scott King, Commodore of Naval Special Warfare Group TWO. “By training alongside our Lithuanian and German counterparts, we’re not only enhancing our own warfighting readiness but also strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation that underpin our alliance.”

During the two-week training exercise, participating forces conducted advanced marksmanship drills, close-quarters combat scenarios, and high-speed maritime maneuvers. The training culminated in a full-mission profile exercise, testing the ability of the units to execute complex operations in a real-world scenario.

A senior Naval Special Warfare Operator involved in the exercise emphasized the value of joint training. “The training we conducted was both realistic and challenging,” he said. “We were able to learn from each other and share best practices. This type of cooperation is essential to achieving shared goals and maintaining elite levels of lethality.”
