Ukrainian drones have destroyed a strategic railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal in occupied Crimea, Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces (SSO) said.
According to the SSO, the strike was carried out by “Middle Strike” units in coordination with local resistance networks operating under the SSO Resistance Movement.
In the first phase of the operation on Monday evening Ukrainian mid-range drones reportedly struck the railway bridge, damaging its tracks and causing the collapse of one of its spans, the SSO said. Thermal drone footage released by Ukrainian forces showed what appeared to be precision strikes on the structure.

A second phase of the operation was conducted on Tuesday night after members of the SSO Resistance Movement reported the arrival of specialized railway repair equipment at the site.
“SSO drones struck both the repair equipment and the remaining parts of the bridge again,” SSO said.
According to Ukrainian officials, the bridge formed part of a rail network used to move ammunition, fuel, and heavy equipment from Russia through Crimea toward front-line positions in southern Ukraine, including the Kherson region and areas near the Sea of Azov.
Ukraine has stepped up its strikes on Crimea in recent weeks, targeting Russian assets, key transport routes, and oil infrastructure.
Fuel stations in Crimea stopped selling gasoline to the public on Sunday, with Russian-installed authorities restricting supplies to government use only. Earlier restrictions on fuel sales had already been introduced amid ongoing Ukrainian strikes.
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Tuesday operation also struck more than 60 Russian military targets in occupied territories, according to Unmanned Systems Forces Commander Robert “Madyar” Brovdi.
According to Brovdi, targets in occupied Crimea included three Orion reconnaissance and strike drones, a Nebo-U radar station, a Pantsir-S1 air defense system, an S-300 launcher, and a ZU-23 anti-aircraft gun.
