Poland is set to request an explanation from Moscow after a Russian missile crossed into Polish airspace during the large-scale missile attack on Ukraine. The event prompted Poland to increase the readiness level of its forces. The Polish Armed Forces Operational Command reported heightened military readiness due to Russian long-range aviation activity and missile strikes in Ukraine, mentioning that Polish and allied aircraft were activated. The Russian missile entered Polish airspace near the town of Oserdow (Lublin Voivodeship) and was in the area for 39 seconds, during which it was tracked by military radar. Poland’s defense minister, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, stated that Poland had activated all air defense and air force systems in response.
