The Trump administration has authorized the transfer of 3,350 Extended Range Attack Munitions (ERAMs) to Ukraine in an $850 million package largely funded by European allies, The Wall Street Journal reported.
Deliveries of the ERAMs are expected to begin within six weeks, according to WSJ. U.S. officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, told the news outlet that Ukraine would need Pentagon approval before using the missiles due to their capacity to strike deep inside Russia.
The deal was finalized after President Donald Trump met separately with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky earlier this month.
The US is sending Ukraine 3,350 Extended Range Attack Munition (ERAM) air-launched missiles, with deliveries starting in weeks, per the WSJ.

The ERAM is a next-generation, air-launched precision missile with a strike range of 240 to 450 kilometers (150 to 280 miles). Designed to operate under electronic warfare interference, it uses combined GPS and inertial guidance with a terminal seeker for final-phase accuracy. Its warhead can destroy hardened facilities such as depots, command centers, and radar stations.
Compact in size, ERAM can be carried by Ukraine’s incoming F-16s, Mirage 2000s, and Soviet-era fighters. It expands Ukraine’s current air-to-ground arsenal beyond the French AASM Hammer and U.S.-supplied GBU-39 Small Diameter Bomb.
