Putin’s Wagner thugs would ‘love’ to track down ‘high value target’ UK special forces in Ukraine if leaked US files claiming they are operating in the country are accurate, British MP warns | Daily Mail

The UK’s Foreign Affairs Select Committee warns that leaked US intelligence documents about British special forces operating in Ukraine could put Western assets at risk, especially if they are targeted by Russia’s Wagner militia. 

Alicia Kearns, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Select Committee in the UK, has warned that if leaked US intelligence documents claiming that 50 British special forces troops are operating in Ukraine are accurate, they could be targeted by Russia’s Wagner militia. Kearns stated that the leak, if genuine, could put Western assets around the world at risk, especially those involved in saving Ukrainian lives. The leaked documents, which were marked as top secret and also reportedly contain information about the military strength of NATO allies, have been dismissed by the UK Ministry of Defence as containing a “serious level of inaccuracy”. However, the authenticity of the documents has not been confirmed by either the UK or the US.
