Almost all of the fighting equipment and ammunition promised to Ukraine for its spring onslaught against Russian forces in the east have been delivered.

NATO has delivered almost all of the combat vehicles promised to Ukraine, including over 1,550 armored vehicles, 230 tanks, and vast amounts of ammunition, in preparation for a new offensive against Russian forces in the country’s east. The vehicles include American Strykers and Bradley fighting vehicles, as well as German Leopard 2 tanks. Nine new brigades of approximately 30,000 troops in total, all trained by NATO forces, will also be deployed. Heavy artillery combat has depleted much of Ukraine’s ammunition supplies, which NATO is attempting to replenish. However, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg warned against underestimating Russia in the fight, noting the Russian military’s willingness to send thousands of troops to the front lines despite high casualties over the last year.
