As part of Austria’s extensive military modernization strategy, Rheinmetall MAN Military trucks has signed a seven-year framework agreement worth up to €525 million to supply logistical trucks to the Austrian Armed Forces.
Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles has secured a seven-year framework agreement with Austria’s procurement organization to supply logistics vehicles for the Austrian Armed Forces. The agreement involves delivering up to 1,375 HX, TGS, and TGM vehicles, with a potential order value of €525 million. Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles proposed vehicles from different model series with various axle configurations, along with additional build-on systems such as cranes and platforms. The company received approval to provide Austria with all six lots of military vehicles. This procurement is part of Austria’s broader plan to modernize its army, including investing €560 million in armored vehicles and €873 million in helicopters. The Austrian armed forces have been a loyal customer of Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles, already operating vehicles from their existing model series. The joint venture between Rheinmetall AG and MAN Truck & Bus SE owns RMMV, with Rheinmetall AG holding a 51% stake and MAN Truck & Bus SE owning 49%.
