The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has provided the US military with valuable lessons in high-tech warfare for the Information Age. These lessons include the need for more adaptable and protected command posts in the face of drone threats, the cost-effectiveness of using disposable drones in electronic warfare environments, the power of the internet for mass mobilization and propaganda, the potential for rapid digital sharing of targeting data, and the reality of prolonged cyber conflicts rather than swift knockout blows. These insights are critical for the US military’s evolving strategies and preparations for future conflicts in a changing warfare landscape.
