Footage released by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) shows Israeli fighter jets striking air defense systems and other military installations in southwestern Syria.
According to the IDF, the operation, carried out overnight on Friday, involved 12 Israeli Air Force jets targeting dozens of sites, including “anti-aircraft artillery and a surface-to-air missile platform.”

According to the Syrian news agency SANA, at least one person was killed in airstrikes on the outskirts of Harasta. Four others were injured later Friday in an Israeli strike near the village of Shatha in northwestern Hama province.

The news outlet reported additional strikes hit areas near Muthabin and Izraa in southern Daraa province.
The strikes came just hours after Israeli warplanes targeted an area near the presidential palace in Damascus, following earlier attacks on the Druze community by government forces.

“The IDF will continue to work to preserve freedom of aerial action to carry out its tasks and remove any threat in the area,” the IDF said.
