Israeli police have released helmet-camera footage showing a raid by the elite Yamam counter-terrorism unit on a hospital in the West Bank city of Halhul, where a wanted Palestinian suspect was detained early Thursday. The suspect had been injured in a failed car bombing in August near Hebron and was being treated at the hospital when Israeli forces moved in to apprehend him.
The video shows members of Yamam entering the hospital during the night, conducting the operation without apparent confrontation. The footage was made public following claims by some Palestinian sources that Israeli forces had disguised themselves as doctors and women during the raid. Israeli police and the Shin Bet security agency stated that the video disproves these allegations, demonstrating that the raid was carried out by uniformed personnel.
