Iran rejected a proposed 45-day ceasefire Monday and transmitted its own 10-point framework to Washington demanding a permanent end to the war, as President Donald Trump threatened to destroy every Iranian power plant and bridge before midnight Tuesday and then suggested the United States might help rebuild the country afterward.
BREAKING: Iran has delivered its highly anticipated “10-point” response to the US’ “15-point peace plan.”
Iran’s 10-point plan includes:
1. Guarantee that Iran will not be attacked again
2. Permanent end to the war, not just a ceasefire
3. End to Israeli strikes in Lebanon

Pakistan, acting as a primary intermediary, relayed Iran’s 10-point response to Washington after mediators submitted the 45-day ceasefire proposal Sunday. Mojtaba Ferdousi Pour, head of Iran’s diplomatic mission in Cairo, told The Associated Press that Tehran would not accept a temporary pause in fighting.
“We only accept an end of the war with guarantees that we won’t be attacked again,” he said. He added that Iran no longer trusts the Trump administration after the U.S. carried out strikes during previous rounds of talks.
Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said negotiations were “incompatible with ultimatums and threats to commit war crimes.”
Trump, speaking at a White House briefing room press conference Monday, called Iran’s response “a significant step” but said it was “not good enough.” He described a four-hour plan in his own words. “Every bridge in Iran will be decimated by 12 o’clock tomorrow night, where every power plant in Iran will be out of business, burning, exploding, and never to be used again,” he said. “Complete demolition.”

Minutes later, Trump said the U.S. “may even get involved with helping them rebuild their nation” if a more intensive campaign goes forward. When asked whether the conflict was winding down or escalating, he said: “I don’t know. I can’t tell. It depends what they do.”
U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Monday’s strikes were the largest volume since the first day of the war and added that Tuesday’s would exceed them.
Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi warned on X that attacks on power plants would draw “a decisive, immediate, and regret-inducing response.”
