Israel’s military on Thursday launched airstrikes on Mahrouna, Jbaa, and al-Majadel in southern Lebanon, targeting what it said were Hezbollah weapons storage facilities.
Prior to the strikes, the military issued evacuation warnings to minimize civilian harm. “The struck storage facilities were located in the heart of civilian populations,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement. “The presence of the struck weapons storage facilities constituted a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said the meeting was held “in a positive spirit,” and stressed that “the disarmament of Hezbollah is mandatory, regardless of progress in economic cooperation.”
