A senior member of the Imam Hossein Division, an Iranian militia allied with Hezbollah, was killed Thursday in an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said.
The military identified the operative as Wasim Saeed Jaba’i, who was killed while riding a motorcycle on the road between Ain Baal and Aaitat, south of Tyre. The IDF released the video capturing the strike.

“He drove force-buildup and strengthened the division, advanced weapons procurement deals, and assisted in rocket attacks against Israel and later worked to rehabilitate the division,” the IDF said.
“The terrorist’s activity constitutes a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon. The IDF will continue to operate to remove any threat to the State of Israel,” the IDF added.
The latest strikes come after a Sept. 8 attack on multiple Hezbollah sites in eastern Lebanon’s Beqaa Valley, including Radwan Force training compounds. According to the military, the facilities were used to train operatives for attacks on IDF troops and Israeli civilians.
