To increase staff retention and performance during the pandemic, Hughes Investments, a McDonald’s franchisee, employed Onaroll, a performance-based rewards platform. This led to faster drive-thrus and meal preparation times.

Hughes Investments, a McDonald’s franchisee, experienced staffing issues during the pandemic, resulting in inexperienced teams struggling to keep up with increased demand. To attract and retain employees, Hughes Investments implemented Onaroll, a performance-based, digital incentives platform that helps gamify shift work. Employees earn points based on their performance, which they can redeem for rewards from over 500 popular brands. Since implementing Onaroll, team-member performance has reached new heights, with an improvement in drive-thru times of 9% and a 19% improvement in meal-prep times. Onaroll has given employees ownership and motivation to work harder. The automated rewards system is easy for operators to manage and can be rolled out quickly.
