General Dynamics and Nammo Perry Battle for Major Propelling Bag Charge Orders

General Dynamics Ordnance and Nammo Perry Inc. have secured a contract to manufacture and deliver 155 mm M119A2 propelling bag charges.

General Dynamics Ordnance and Nammo Perry Inc. have secured a contract to manufacture and deliver 155 mm M119A2 propelling bag charges. Meanwhile, the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining in Pennsylvania was awarded a modification for manufacturing technology projects. Barbaricum LLC, iGov Technologies Inc., and NexTech Solutions LLC received a contract ceiling increase for Targeted Requirement Execution contracts, providing ISR-related equipment solutions.
  

Key Points: 

  1. General Dynamics Ordnance and Nammo Perry Inc. are competing for orders under a $488.6 million contract for 155 mm M119A2 propelling bag charges, with a completion date of Sept. 6, 2028.
  2. The National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining received a $176.4 million modification for manufacturing technology projects, set to complete by Sept. 28, 2026.
  3. Barbaricum LLC, iGov Technologies, and NexTech Solutions got a $161 million contract increase for Targeted Requirement Execution (TREX) contracts.
  4. TREX contracts entail the provision of intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) equipment solutions, including system integration and signal processing capabilities.
  5. The TREX contract was initially awarded on Oct. 16, 2020, with approval on July 19, 2023, by U.S. Special Operations Command.
