A Russian BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system (MRLS) was destroyed in a high-impact explosion after being struck by a Ukrainian first-person-view (FPV) drone in eastern Ukraine.
The strike reportedly occurred in Donetsk, where fighting remains intense. Video from the drone operator shows the munition-laden 122-mm launcher detonating moments after impact.

Ukrainian sources did not identify the unit behind the operation. No details were released on Russian personnel casualties.
Developed during the Soviet era, the BM-21 Grad is a truck-mounted MRLS capable of firing 40 122-mm rockets in just 20 seconds.
Russia has lost over 500 MRLS in its war against Ukraine, according to data from the independent military analysis group Oryx. The figure includes systems that were destroyed, abandoned, or captured, with each loss confirmed through photo or video evidence.
