Defense contractor Anduril Industries has been awarded a $310 million grant from Ohio’s job creation office to support the construction of a 5 million-square-foot manufacturing facility in Pickaway County.
The 30-year deal, announced Wednesday, requires Anduril to create 4,008 jobs, generate over $530 million in payroll, and invest at least $910.5 million in capital over the next decade.
The grant will be distributed over ten years, contingent on the company maintaining those targets for 20 years.
Set to open in July 2026, Arsenal-1, is expected to produce tens of thousands of autonomous vehicles, sensors, and weapons annually.
Anduril previously announced it would invest nearly $1 billion of its own capital into the project, which is expected to generate over 4,000 direct jobs and thousands more in related industries.
“JobsOhio’s assistance aligns with our goal to attract the world’s most cutting-edge companies while creating generational opportunities for Ohio’s people and economy,” JobsOhio President and Chief Executive J.P. Nauseef said in a statement.
