A War Thunder forum user has been banned and is under investigation by U.K. authorities after posting classified documents about the Euroradar Captor radar used in the Eurofighter Typhoon.

The user shared the classified documents during a discussion about the Euroradar Captor’s scanning capabilities. The documents that were shared included sensitive information about the radar system.

The Euroradar Captor is an advanced multi-mode radar system that led to the development of the Captor-E AESA radar, enhancing the Typhoon’s performance. The details of these systems are restricted for security reasons.

Despite warnings from moderators, the user posted restricted material. It was immediately taken down by the moderators.

Following the incident, moderators issued a public reminder against sharing restricted information. “Do not, under any circumstances, try to post or share classified sources unless you are 100% certain they are legally declassified and safe for use,” they stated.

This is the 14th time restricted materials have been shared on the War Thunder forum. Past incidents have included leaks about the Challenger 2 tank, Leclerc tank, and Chinese ammunition systems.

The game’s developers have repeatedly stated that classified materials are not used in the game’s development and urged users to avoid sharing them.
