U.S. airstrikes on Yemen’s capital killed 12 people and injured at least 34, according to Houthi officials on Monday. The strikes are part of an ongoing U.S. campaign targeting the rebel group.

The attacks hit several parts of Sanaa, including Attan, a sanitation project in Asir, and a market in the Farwa neighborhood of the Shuub district. That market has been targeted before. Footage on social media showed damaged cars and buildings from the strikes.

The U.S. military’s Central Command has not confirmed the casualties and declined to comment on the airstrikes.

The intensified air campaign against the Houthis was launched in March after the group threatened to resume attacks on Israeli-linked vessels, following Israel’s decision to restart military operations in Gaza.

Since March, U.S. airstrikes have killed over 200 people in Houthi-held areas, according to rebel sources. Last week, the U.S. targeted the Ras Isa port, killing at least 80 people and injuring more than 170.
