A new video posted by the Kraken regiment, a Ukrainian special forces unit within the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, shows the dangers involved in resupplying frontline troops under constant enemy shelling. The footage, shared on Telegram, captures a light tactical vehicle navigating dirt tracks amidst artillery fire and mortar attacks in Chasiv Yar, a town in eastern Ukraine.

The vehicle featured in the video is a Turkish-made Cobra II, described by manufacturer Otokar as a “4×4 Tactical Wheeled Armored Vehicle” with advanced technical and tactical features, including high ballistic and mine protection, increased payload capacity, and excellent maneuverability across difficult terrain.
Chasiv Yar has become a focal point of intense conflict, with Russian forces intensifying their offensive to exploit the strategic advantage gained from operations in northern Kharkiv Oblast and eastern Ukraine. The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported that Russian forces are likely trying to capitalize on weakened Ukrainian defenses due to troop relocations to other contested areas like Vovchansk.
Major-General Vadym Skibitsky, Ukraine’s deputy head of military intelligence, indicated that while Chasiv Yar’s fall to Russian forces is not imminent, it remains a significant concern depending on Ukrainian reserves and supplies. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently praised Ukrainian forces for successfully repelling a Russian assault on Chasiv Yar, where they destroyed more than twenty armored vehicles.
