In June 2023, Ukrainian special forces from Center 73 embarked on a critical mission to secure a vital Dnipro River crossing in southern Ukraine. Their goal was to reclaim control of the river, which had been held by Russian forces since the 2022 invasion. However, their initial plans were disrupted when the Kakhovka Dam was destroyed, causing widespread flooding and forcing both sides to regroup. Center 73, known for its elite fighters and clandestine operations, persevered through challenges and successfully reclaimed strategic positions along the river, employing advanced equipment and high-risk missions. This operation exemplified the resilience and determination of Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces in the face of adversity.
