Drone operators with the Special Operations Forces (SOF) have destroyed four Russian Buk anti-aircraft missile systems over the past three weeks. This information was confirmed by the Special Operations Forces Command and reported by Ukrinform.
According to the report, operators from the SOF Third Separate Regiment successfully targeted three Buk systems between late April and early May. The fourth Buk system was destroyed just a few days ago. These operations involved reconnaissance missions that pinpointed the locations of the Buk systems, which were subsequently engaged by one-way attack drones.
The SOF Command highlighted that the drones used in these missions are among the latest models adopted for service by the Special Operations Forces. This advanced technology played a crucial role in the successful destruction of these high-value targets.
The recent operations have now resulted in the elimination of half a division of Russian Buk systems within a single operational area, showcasing the effectiveness and precision of Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces.
