Ukrainian forces conducted a successful strike on a Russian command post in occupied Zaporizhzhia, killing three senior officers. The operation, carried out on December 27, was confirmed by Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence (HUR). It used HIMARS rocket systems followed by kamikaze drones.
Ukrainian intelligence had reportedly identified a planned meeting of Russian military personnel at the site. The strike began with two HIMARS rockets, one carrying cluster munitions, which destroyed the command post. Drones then targeted survivors and Russian evacuation teams. Footage released by HUR showed explosions hitting parked vehicles and saturating the area with anti-personnel munitions.
