Ukrainian long-range drones reportedly struck the Migalovo airbase near the Russian city of Tver, more than 500 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, on Sunday.
According to Astra, the governor of the Tver region, Igor Rudenya, confirmed the attack, saying that five drones were shot down. He also said that there was no damage to infrastructure and no casualties.
Despite Rudenya’s claim that all drones were intercepted, the Ukrainian Telegram channel Supernova+ geolocated video evidence showing that at least one drone detonated within the grounds of the Migalovo airbase.

The Migalovo airbase is used by the Russian Aerospace Forces to house large transport aircraft, including the Il-76MD and An-124. It is home to the 196th and 8th Military Transport Aviation Regiments.
Videos uploaded by Exilonava+ on Telegram show Russian military planes evacuating the base amid the attack.
This is the second reported drone strike on the airbase. A similar attack occurred overnight between September 2 and 3, 2024.
Earlier this week, Ukrainian drones hit a defense plant in Yelets, Lipetsk region. The target was the “Energia” facility, which supplies parts for Russia’s military industry.
