Ukraine has reported the destruction of a Russian 91N6E radar system, a key component of the S-400 Triumph air defense system, in occupied Crimea.
In a statement, the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (GUR) said its special unit, the “Ghosts,” carried out the strike on Thursday. Drone footage, allegedly showing the strike, accompanied the announcement.

The S-400 system, valued at roughly $1.2 billion, is designed to intercept a range of aerial threats.
The 91N6E radar enables long-range detection, making it a primary target in Ukraine’s ongoing campaign to degrade Russian air defenses on the peninsula.
GUR said several other Russian radar and communications assets were also destroyed in the operation, including the Utyos-T radar complex, the RT-70 radio telescope, a GLONASS facility housed under a protective dome and the MR-10M1 “Mys M1” radar.
The attack adds to a series of similar operations. In late June, Ukrainian drones damaged S-400 radar units in Crimea.
Earlier in August, the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces (SSO) reported destroying a TRLK-10 “Skala-M” radar complex in the village of Abrykosivka in Crimea.
