Ukrainian forces struck the Borisoglebsk military airfield in Russia’s Voronezh Oblast, which houses Su-34, Su-35S, and Su-30SM jets, early Saturday.

According to Ukraine’s General Staff, the strike damaged a depot housing glide bombs, a training aircraft, and “possibly other aircraft.”

The Ukrainian attack follows a June operation in which Ukraine claimed to destroy over 40 Russian aircraft at various airfields. 

The strike on Borisoglebsk was part of a wider overnight drone offensive across Russia, with explosions and fires reported in at least six regions.

On the same day, Ukrainian military intelligence, cited by The Kyiv Independent, reported explosions in Vladivostok that damaged gas and water pipelines supplying the 155th Marine Brigade and other military facilities.

Moscow claimed to have shot down 120 Ukrainian drones overnight between Saturday and Sunday across multiple regions. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian air force reported that Russia launched 322 drones and decoys toward Ukraine overnight into Saturday, with 157 shot down and 135 likely lost due to electronic jamming.

The latest attacks follow Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s “very important and productive” phone call with U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday.

According to a statement, the leaders discussed ways to strengthen Ukrainian air defenses, explore joint weapons production between the U.S. and Ukraine, and advance broader U.S.-led efforts to end the war with Russia.
