U.S. forces have struck more than 10,000 targets in Iran since the start of Operation Epic Fury, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Chief Admiral Brad Cooper announced Thursday, as the war nears its one-month mark.
In a video posted on X, Cooper said the milestone was reached just hours ago. “We hit the 10,000th Iranian target just hours ago.”

“If you combine what we’ve accomplished with the success of our Israeli ally, together, we have struck thousands more,” Cooper added. “Our precision strikes have overwhelmed Iranian air defences and our combat flights are having tangible effects.”
Cooper also said the U.S. has struck more than two-thirds of Iran’s munitions plants since the war started on Feb. 28.
“We have damaged or destroyed over two-thirds of Iran’s missile, drone and naval production facilities and shipyards — and we’re not done yet,” he said. “We are on a path to completely eliminate Iran’s wider military manufacturing apparatus.”
Additionally, Cooper said the U.S. has destroyed 92 percent of the Iranian navy’s “largest vessels.”
“They’ve now lost the ability to meaningfully project naval power and influence around the region and around the world,” Cooper said.
As a result of recent U.S. strikes, Iran’s drone and missile launch rates have dropped by more than 90 percent, drastically reducing its ability to target American forces and regional neighbors, Cooper noted.
“I just could not be prouder of our troops, and I know the American people share that pride,” he concluded.
Iran has not publicly confirmed losing any of its equipment during the war.
