U.S. Forces Intercept Cargo Ship Carrying Missile Components Bound for Iran

U.S. special operations forces raided a cargo ship in the Indian Ocean last month, intercepting components reportedly linked to Iran’s missile program, the Wall Street Journal reported.

The vessel was traveling from China to Iran when boarded by U.S. forces several hundred miles off Sri Lanka. According to the newspaper, it was the first time in several years that U.S. forces intercepted cargo traveling from China to Iran.

Officials said the cargo contained dual-use materials with both civilian and military applications. The shipment was destroyed, and the ship was later released.

Officials said the operation is part of a broader U.S. effort to disrupt Iran’s covert arms supply chains and prevent the transfer of materials that could bolster its weapons development.

Earlier this week, U.S. forces seized an oil tanker off Venezuela’s coast over alleged sanctions violations –  another action Washington had not taken in years.

In a separate incident, Iran seized an oil tanker it said was illegally carrying Iranian fuel in the Gulf of Oman, Iranian media reported. The ship had 18 crew members from India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh on board.

“An oil tanker carrying six million liters of contraband diesel fuel has been boarded off the coast of the Sea of Oman,” the Fars news agency reported, quoting an official from the southern province of Hormozgan.

It’s was a legal operation by law enforcement that was ongoing for months…they tracked the tanker from Russia AND it had its transponder off. Try getting facts instead of making yourself look…less than smart😉

If you went to college, you wasted your money. In the 90’s and 2000 myself and the special ops boys I ran with took many many many millions of $$$$. Maybe billions worth of ships and their cargo. Oh, because of sanctions. By the way, Bill Clinton was my pussy commander and chief.

I think Abdul is butthurt that we took oil and missile parts that they were going to use to kill civilians. Because how dare we don’t let the poor “oppressed” Iranians do whatever they want🙄

Tell me you don’t know international law without telling me you don’t know International law, it was a sanctioned joint operation to intercept a ship bringing missile parts to a terror state. I understand you’re most likely Middle Eastern and hate the United States judging by your reaction, but clearly you can’t be this dull and blinded by your own bias
