President Donald Trump confirmed Wednesday that U.S. intelligence has identified and is tracking suspected Iranian operatives inside the country as the joint U.S.-Israeli military campaign against Tehran continues into its second week.
“I have been [briefed], and a lot of people came in through Biden with his stupid open border,” Trump told reporters at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. “But we know where most of them are. We’ve got our eye on all of them, I think.”

Trump praised the progress of Operation Epic Fury, calling the campaign historically effective. “The war itself is being prosecuted at a level that nobody’s seen before,” he said.
The president’s remarks followed an FBI bulletin sent to California law enforcement warning that Iran had considered launching unmanned aerial vehicles from a ship off the West Coast. The alert, distributed in late February, stated that intelligence officials had acquired “unverified information” suggesting Iran “allegedly aspired to conduct a surprise attack” against unspecified California targets.
“We have no additional information on the timing, method, target, or perpetrators of this alleged attack,” the bulletin stated.
Asked about the warning, Trump said the matter was under investigation.
The administration’s public statements on sleeper networks came days after U.S. agencies intercepted an encrypted transmission believed to have originated in Iran. A federal law enforcement alert described the signal as a potential “operational trigger” for covert assets abroad.
The message was transmitted shortly after Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in a joint strike on February 28.
The alert noted the broadcast appeared intended for “clandestine recipients” and could contain activation instructions for operatives outside Iran. Authorities said no specific location-based threat had been identified.

Exiled Iranian journalist Mehdi Ghadimi told Fox News that individuals tied to Tehran often enter Western countries as students or investors. He noted that moving large sums out of Iran typically requires approval from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and other security institutions.
