Every once in a while, something arrives that reminds us why we do what we do. This week, SOFX received a touching letter and six handmade hearts from a young supporter, Little Allocca.
In her note, Little Allocca wrote:
“Hi, my dad has had lots of friends in the military my whole life now, and I’ve been making these hearts for years, for both military and first responders. Just wanted to send y’all some for whoever would like to have it. Thank you for what you do. Stay strong, we need you.”
Attached to her letter was a small heart made of black and green beads. Alongside it, she included a handwritten card explaining its meaning:
“The green line is for military and the black line through the green is to remember our fallen warriors. This heart is for you to remember all the love you have, and to remember all of our heroes who have gotten us to where we are today. Thank you for sacrificing time with your family to watch over us!”
In her own creative way, Little Allocca has been quietly crafting these “Military Hearts” for years, a simple gesture with powerful symbolism. Each one honors those who serve and those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
Her words and kindness struck a chord with everyone here at SOFX. They remind us that service doesn’t just live in the uniform, it lives in the hearts of the families, friends, and young supporters who understand what it means to stand behind those who serve.
Little Allocca, from all of us at SOFX and the broader special operations and military community: Thank You. Your compassion and gratitude reflect the very best of what we fight to protect, the spirit of appreciation, unity, and strength that defines America’s warriors and those who support them.

Send my thank you to her. She has definitely felt the SOF and how open our hearts are.
