In the midst of border tensions in the Eastern sector, the Indian Army and Air Force perform a joint exercise to validate strategic airlift plans.
The Indian Army and Air Force carried out a joint exercise in strategically important areas in the Eastern sector aimed at validating joint plans for strategic airlift of specialized forces, according to sources. The exercise, which took place last week, demonstrated the speed, agility, and lethality of specialized troops and their ability to deploy into hostile environments. The drills showcased the operational preparedness and synergy of strategic forces and troops of the Eastern Command to undertake multi-domain operations in high altitude and mountainous terrain. The exercise occurred amid a border row in eastern Ladakh and Beijing’s announcement of Chinese names for 11 more places in Arunachal Pradesh, which India rejected.
